Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu is pushing for an independent panel to conduct a value-for-money audit on the Saglemi Housing Project, insisting that the case should not be closed without proper scrutiny.

He said the case, which involves a former Minister for Works and Housing, Collins Dauda, needs further prosecution.

His comments come after the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, withdrew some high-profile cases involving appointees of President Mahama's previous administration.

Referring to the Saglemi Housing project, Mr Kpebu said, "The Collins Dauda situation cannot die like that.
