At least two people have reportedly been burned to death after a Kumasi-bound bus traveling from Pulmakom was intercepted and set ablaze by suspected Mamprusi bandits near Walewale this afternoon.
According to viral posts online, the brutal attack occurred just meters from a police barrier.
Despite the proximity of the checkpoint, officers were unable to intervene as they were unarmed.
They immediately called for backup.
