The Volta Regional Representative on the Council of State, Gabriel Tanko Kwamigh-Atokple, has reaffirmed his pledge to place the youth of the region at the heart of national development.
This, he hopes to do, through his work on the Council of State, while aiming to advocate for innovative policies on issues dearest to the youth.
Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple was elected on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, beating competition from 12 others to win 24 votes out of the 36 cast.
Speaking to GhanaWeb after the victory, he explained how he will continue to harness Volta Region's economic potential to drive development, placing the youth at the very center of things. "The youth must be at the heart of national development, and the Volta Region needs a strong voice at the table.
