In a heartwarming gesture to mark Valentine's Day, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has distributed chocolates and cocoa products to children at St.
Joseph and Koforidua Central Hospitals.
The initiative, which is part of the GTA's efforts to promote chocolate consumption, aims to show love and support to children receiving medical care. "This year, our focus is on the children to show them love as they seek medical care and heal," said Dinah Adu-Owusu, the Eastern Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
Our theme for this year is 'Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy, and Grow,' and today's exercise aligns perfectly with that theme." A variety of chocolates and cocoa-based products were given to children, as well as their mothers, who were either in the hospital wards or visiting the outpatient department (OPD).
