Former Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has strongly criticized the current Attorney General, Dr.
Dominic Ayine, accusing him of using his office to discontinue legal cases in a bid to exonerate officials of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) implicated in corruption and other offenses.
In a detailed press statement, Dame took issue with the recent nolle prosequi (discontinuation) of high-profile cases, questioning the motives behind the decision and warning of its implications for Ghana's justice system.
He argued that the move appears politically motivated rather than being based on legal merit.
