Speaking on the floor of on Thursday, February 14, 2025, Opoku Ansah highlighted that the NCA, established under Section 9 of the Electronic Communications Act 2008 (Act 775), is an independent entity meant to function without external control or influence.
The Act specifies, "Except as otherwise provided in this Act, the Authority shall not be subject to the direction or control of any person or authority in performing its functions," he quoted the Constitution.
