Nhyiaeso Lawmaker, Dr Stephen Amoah has said that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has not run away contrary to the report that he is a fugitive.

Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, February 12, the former Deputy Finance Minister said "I want to make it emphatically clear that Hon Ken Ofori-Atta has not run away.

I want to advise this august House that I think that our actions and commissions over the years have defined us and we have given the public external stakeholders to always see us through different lenses, it is time we put an end to what we do to each other." Dr Amoah was responding to Member of Parliament for Builsa North, James Agalga who urged Mr Ofori-Atta to return home to answer questions from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Mr Agalga, while speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, February 12, said "The Special Prosecutor has spoken, he says he extended an invitation to Ofori-Atta and his lawyers offered to present themselves for questioning but he said no, lawyers are not the subject of the investigation so he wants to talk to Ofori-Atta himself.
