Bolgatanga Central Lawmaker Isaac Adongo has described former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta as the biggest perceived enemy of Ghana's economy.

He accused Mr Ofori-Atta of plunging the economy into severe difficulties that have affected all Ghanaians.

He said this while contributing to a discussion on the raid of the house of Mr Ken Ofori-Atta by unidentified men in military uniform on Monday, February 11 and also the action of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to declare him wanted Adongo said in Parliament on Wednesday, February 12 "I am surprised and scorched that the biggest perceived enemy of our economy is being defended the way my colleagues are doing." Prior to his comment, Former Minister of Defence Dominic Nitiwul said that it was wrong to use soldiers to raid somebody's home as part of investigations into wrongdoing in a democratic dispensation.

He says it is either the Police or National Security operatives who will have to do that.
