Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has been discharged by the High Court in his long-running trial linked to the Number 12 exposé.
The court's decision comes after state prosecutors failed to present investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, a key witness in the case, to testify against Nyantakyi.
Nyantakyi was facing charges of conspiracy to commit fraud, fraud, and corruption following his involvement in the undercover documentary, which exposed alleged corrupt dealings in African football.
The exposé captured him accepting money from an undercover journalist posing as a businessman, with promises to use his political connections-including then-President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-to facilitate business opportunities.
