Lawyers of former Finance Minister Kenneth Ofori Atta have written to the Office of the Special Prosecutor following an invitation to him to appear before it.
The letter dated February 7, 2025, indicated that the former finance minister is currently indisposed and is in the United States of America seeking medical attention.
The letter further indicated that he will not be able to avail himself as soon as he expected in Ghana post-March date.
But assured the OSP to inform the office as soon as he gets back into the country. "We are, however, able and willing to provide you with any information you may require to aid in your investigations until our client is back in the country for any in-person investigations outlined in the said letter." They expressed their gratitude if any physical appearance of the former minister is fixed, taking into account the health condition of the former minister.
