Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has justified President John Mahama's decision to annul all public sector appointments made after the December 7, 2024 elections.
Speaking in an interview on Citi FM, he argued that the appointments violated due process and could not be allowed to stand. "We have looked into the matter and found that due process was bypassed in the appointments that were made.
Some didn't put in any application at all, others didn't go through interviews, and some who should have gone through medical examinations didn't go through," he stated.
According to him, there were instances of backdated appointment letters, though affected individuals had not received salaries since their employment. "To that extent, we deem them unlawful and illegal.
