The newly elected Northern Regional representative on the Council of State, Muhammed Mumuni, is calling for a broader role for the Council.
The former Vice Presidential candidate argued that its influence in national governance should extend beyond merely advising the President.
Speaking on Accra-base Citi News on Tuesday, Alhaji Mumuni stated that while the Council of State plays a crucial role in shaping national policy, its full potential remains untapped. "After 30 years of governance, we have seen what the Council can do.
But we have also seen that it has not been allowed to operate in the full sense," he noted.
