Three female candidates are facing off against 21 male contenders in a highly competitive race for a single slot in the Eastern Regional Council of State elections.
The election has garnered interest from a wide array of stakeholders.
Our Eastern Regional correspondent Yvonne Neequaye, reports that a total of 66 delegates, from the 33 Municipal and District Assemblies, will cast their votes.
Voting has not begun yet, although Electoral Commission Officials are ready for the elections.
