A financial expert, Dr David Kofi Wuaku, submitted his nomination on Monday in Ho to vie for the Council of State position representing the Volta Region.
In an interview with the Ghanaian Times following his clearance by the Electoral Commission, Mr Wuaku stressed his commitment to attracting investments that were in harmony with the region's distinctive resources and strengths, thereby ensuring sustainable development for its inhabitants.
He said the role extends beyond mere advisory functions, necessitating collaboration with local Assemblies to propel the region's development.
Furthermore, he asserted that his candidacy was accompanied by a definitive promise to foster economic transformation, empower the youth, and enhance grassroots involvement in governance.
