Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Tay, a shortlisted aspirant for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position in Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, has vowed to transform the area into a thriving business hub in the region.
He said the visions were centred on unlocking the economic potential of Keta, by leveraging its natural resources to create a vibrant business environment that aimed at to attracting investors, create jobs, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
Mr Tay, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, emphasized that he believed the municipality had immense potential to boast numerous recreational resources that if properly harnessed, could propel the area onto new heights of development that would benefit the whole country. "As a shortlisted candidate for the MCE position, I pledge to reshape the constituency to generate significant interest among locals, l am commitment to transforming Keta into a business that could potentially bring about much-needed economic growth and development to the area," he said.
Mr Tay, who is also the Keta NDC constituency secretary, has identified and outlined some key areas that required attention, which include infrastructure development, job creation, agriculture development, sports, creative arts, health and, education and among others to improve access to essential services in the municipality.
