Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Tay, a shortlisted aspi­rant for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position in Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, has vowed to transform the area into a thriving business hub in the region.

He said the visions were cen­tred on unlocking the economic potential of Keta, by leveraging its natural resources to create a vibrant business environ­ment that aimed at to attracting investors, create jobs, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.

Mr Tay, in an inter­view with the Ghana News Agency, emphasized that he believed the municipality had im­mense potential to boast numer­ous recreational resources that if properly harnessed, could propel the area onto new heights of de­velopment that would benefit the whole country. "As a shortlisted candidate for the MCE position, I pledge to reshape the constituency to gen­erate significant interest among locals, l am commitment to transforming Keta into a business that could potentially bring about much-needed economic growth and development to the area," he said.

Mr Tay, who is also the Keta NDC constituency secretary, has identified and outlined some key areas that required atten­tion, which include infrastruc­ture development, job creation, agriculture development, sports, creative arts, health and, education and among others to improve access to essential services in the municipality.
