A former Greater Accra Regional Minister under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo has called on the Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-markin, to apologize on behalf of his caucus to the member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Zanetor Rawlings.

According to Mr Afotey Agbo who is former Member of Parliament for Kpone-Katamanso, describing Zanetor Rawlings as "daughter of a murderer" is in a bad taste, thus Parliament should facilitate investigations into the matter.

He made the call at a news conference in Accra on February 10.

Last week, a Member of Parliament in the Minority group shouted during proceedings when Ms Rawlings was on the floor that "daughter of a murderer, keep quiet." This triggered agitations among the Majority caucus and a section of Ghanaians who have described this as despicable act.
