Twelve (12) candidates, including two women, have officially been cleared by the to contest for the Ashanti Region's representative seat on the Council of State.
The candidates, aged between 27 and 68, come from diverse professional backgrounds, including traditional leadership, farming, business, and the media.
According to the statement of the poll, the contenders include Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, Chief of Agric Nzema, Rose Hamilton CEO of Crystal Rose Ambassador Hostel, Frederick Adjei, Nana Yaw Akuoko, Alexander Nti, Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV, and Nana Kusi Ampofoh II.
Other aspirants are Angel Yirenkyi, Nana Foriwaa Adwoa, Daniel Anarfi Yeboah, Bismark Adjei, and Yaw Owusu Obimpe former Ashanti regional Chairman of NDC and a member of the NDC council of elders.
