Midway Hospital was on Wednesday lauded for its outstanding perfor­mance in healthcare delivery as it celebrates 45 years of transform­ing lives.The Greater Accra Regional Director of Ghana Health Ser­vice, Dr Robert Amesiya, praised the hospital's rapid growth and commitment to quality care."Midway's achievement is a tes­tament to effective management and strategic vision," Dr Amesiya said.The celebration, themed: 'Honouring a Legacy, Advancing a Vision', highlighted Midway's partnership with Ghana Health Service and its contribution to national health planning.Dr Amesiya emphasised the importance of private-public partnerships in achieving universal health coverage.The Chairperson, Dr Freda Y.

Duplan, said 45 years is too short for an institution to move with the speed at which Midway has moved, commending the hospital's effective management and strategic vision."Midway Hospital has evolved into a 35-bed facility with over 10 specialty clinics, showcasing its ded­ication to patient-centred care," She stated.She underscored the hospital's leadership aims to become a lead­ing healthcare provider, with plans to become a "veterinary hospital" offering highly specialised and evidence-based medicine.Mrs Freda also highlighted Midway's partnership with Ghana Health Service and its contribu­tion to national health planning.She also emphasised the impor­tance of private-public partner­ships in achieving universal health coverage.The Medical Director, Dr Gifty Quarshie -Ngis­sah, expressed gratitude to God, patients, and staff for the hospi­tal's growth."We are thankful to God for allowing our business to thrive and to our patients for their trust.
