The unequal access to and distribution of child healthcare services remain widespread in Ghana, with significant disparities between urban and rural areas.
In response, the Paediatric Society of Ghana is urgently calling on Non-Governmental Organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to step in and help bridge the gap in child health services.
The call was made at its Annual General Meeting hinged on the theme; ''Universal Health Coverage; Bridging gaps and building resilience in Child healthcare delivery across Ghana".
The President of the Paediatric Society of Ghana, Dr Hilda Boye said that the increasing disparities in Child health care services calls for a strong partnership between the Government and the private sector to implement health policies and initiatives to address inequalities. ''There are gaps in child health financing so I believe the Government and networks supporting child health care services should collaborate to provide quality health care services for all children in the country, she further added.
