The General Secretary of the (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has accused the (NPP) of turning the Appointments Committee of Parliament into a platform for political vendetta, rather than a forum for assessing the competences of nominees.
Speaking on NewDay on TV3, on Monday, February 10, 2025, he stated that the NPP is using the committee as an avenue to settle personal scores, particularly against individuals who played significant roles in the last election.
Fifi Kwetey noted that such actions do not serve the best interests of the country. "Our friends in the NPP need to appreciate that the way to revive their fortunes is not to reduce the Appointments Committee into an arena for vendetta.
They believe this is their opportunity to use the committee to settle scores, especially with people they perceive to have played key roles in making things difficult for them politically ahead of the election," he asserted.
