The Minister for Transport, Joseph Nikpe Bukari, has expressed concern over the government's five-month salary arrears owed to workers previously under the Ministry of Railways Development.

Speaking during his first engagement with staff of the Transport Ministry, Bukari attributed the situation to the deteriorating economy under the Akufo-Addo administration.

He assured the affected workers that the issue would be addressed as part of efforts to improve staff welfare. "I am told some of my workers in the railway development sector have not been paid for five months.

This cannot be accepted in any form or way.
