Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has condemned the chaotic scenes witnessed on Thursday, January 30 during vetting of some ministerial nominees.

The Minority MPs and Majority MPs were involved in a confrontation which quickly escalated, leading to violent clashes that resulted in significant damage to parliamentary property, including consoles, cables, and tables.

The disagreement stemmed from the vetting of Health Minister, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Foreign Affairs Minister, Okudzeto Ablakwa who according to the Minority had not been originally scheduled for the vetting.

The chaotic scenes shocked many observers and raised serious concerns about parliamentary decorum and governance.
