The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has assured the people of the Asuokow community of an intervention to prevent pupils from risking their lives to access education.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, February 10, 2025, the President indicated that his attention has been drawn to the plight of children of school-going age who have to swim or cross a river by walking on fallen tree before they can access education in the next town.
The President, upon hearing this, sent the Member of Parliament for Lower West Akim, Owen Kwame Frimpong, to the community to assure them of a visit by the Regional Minister and subsequent intervention for the community.
He indicated that the determination to reset Ghana also includes the removal of barriers to education and healthcare across the country.
