The chaos that erupted in Parliament during the vetting of ministerial nominees on January 30 has taken another dramatic turn as Majority Chief Whip Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor opened up about his involvement.
Addressing the viral videos that captured him and Gushegu MP, Hassan Tampuli, locked in a tense exchange, Dafeamekpor insisted that his actions were meant to prevent a serious injury.
In an interview on TV3 monitored by MyNewsGh, he detailed what transpired, explaining that he was stepping in to protect a colleague from Western North who was in a vulnerable position. "I was trying to prevent my colleague from Western North from being hurt by Tampuli.
