Residents of Teiman in the La Nkwantanang Municipality in the Greater Accra region have raised concerns over increasing land encroachment, particularly the construction of buildings on designated access roads, which they say poses serious safety risks and could lead to accidents.
In the New York City 1st Close area, frustrated residents have complained about structures, including a toilet facility, being built on key access routes, causing obstruction and frequent disputes among motorists navigating the narrow paths.
Madam Rose Gamon, a resident, claimed that her family owns part of the disputed land, which was originally designated as a community access road.
She expressed worry over how the new constructions have created dangerous bottlenecks.
