The Minister of Foreign Affairs and North Tongu MP, , has outrightly denied accusations that he owns a residence at Airport Hills which he allegedly registered under his sister's name.

During a TV3 interview on February 8, 2025, he urged his critics to substantiate their claims with evidence.

Ablakwa, who emphasised his compliance with the Assets Declaration Act, provided proof that the property in question is actually owned by a Jordanian named Husni Altheebeh. "...Husni Altheebeh, our landlord is a Jordanian," he clarified, presenting a copy of his tenancy agreement from the estate managers of East Legon Hills. "I challenge them to put out that evidence that shows that the East Legon Hills residence belongs to me and that I've put it in my sister's name.

That's absolutely untrue.
