President John Dramani Mahama has called on newly appointed regional ministers to prioritise the needs of their constituents and deliver on the promises made during the 2024 election campaign.

The President made the charge during the swearing-in ceremony of 17 ministerial nominees, including eight regional ministers, held at the Jubilee House on Friday, February 7, 2025.

In his address, President Mahama emphasised the critical role regional ministers play in shaping public perception of the government.

He urged them to conduct themselves with integrity and dedication, as their actions would directly impact the administration's reputation. "To the eight of you who will be serving as regional ministers, remember that the people in your region look up to you to deliver on the promises made during the last campaign in which you played active roles. "How you conduct yourselves will eight reflect positively or negatively on this government and I expect that you dig deep into your services to meet the expectations of our people,"  he stated.
