Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu and newly appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs, has assured President John Dramani Mahama and the Ghanaian people that he and his fellow ministers will execute their duties with the highest levels of integrity and modesty.

Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in ministers during a ceremony at the Jubilee House on Friday, February 7, 2025, Ablakwa emphasised their commitment to upholding the values exemplified by President Mahama and safeguarding the nation's resources for the benefit of all citizens.

He further reiterated the ministers' dedication to adding value to national assets and ensuring their development for the collective good. "We want to assure the president, the vice president, and senior government officials that we shall attend upon our duties with the highest sense of integrity and modesty as President Mahama exemplifies.

As the president has charged, we shall at all times in our service to the country, we will protect the public purse that we are mindful that the assets we are going to preside over do not belong to us but they belong to the people of Ghana.
