The ongoing review of Ghana's constitution must consider separating the Attorney-General's department from the Ministry of Justice, Mussa Dankwah Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has said.
He argues that this will deal with concerns about "political persecution" of past government officials all in the name of holding them accountable.
Mussa Dankwa also called for the creation of a state prosecution department.
This department, he said, would be led by career prosecutors whose work would be devoid of political interference.
