Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Kingsley Agyemang, has paid glowing tribute to Dr.
Joseph Kwame Danquah, popularly known as J.B.
Danquah, as Ghana commemorates the 60th anniversary of his passing. "Today, we honour a man whose contributions have left an indelible mark on our nation's political, intellectual, and cultural heritage," Agyemang stated in Parliament.
He highlighted Danquah's relentless dedication to public service, recalling how, upon his return home, he immersed himself in national affairs, founding The Times of West Africa, which became a platform for championing political reform and intellectual discourse. "In 1934, as Secretary of a delegation to the Colonial Office, he boldly opposed the Sedition Bill and advocated for constitutional reforms," Agyemang noted.
