Former Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed the reasons behind his decision to ditch Ghana and play for Togo instead.

According to Adebayor, he had the opportunity to represent Ghana at the junior level but struggled to communicate with his teammates.

Adebayor explained that during his time in the Ghanaian national team camp, he couldn't understand the local languages, Twi and Ga, which made him feel isolated.

He recalled, "When I went to camp, they were speaking Twi, Ga—I couldn't understand.
