King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Grusah has paid a glowing tribute to the late Prince Acheampong, who passed away after a battle with illness.   Acheampong, affectionately known as 'Sabuto', was a respected figure in Ghanaian football, having held various coaching roles.

Grusah praised Acheampong's impact on King Faisal FC, where he took charge in January 2025 and brought immediate improvement to the team. "He won his first three games, he only lost the knockout," Grusah said.

Grusah also reflected on his personal connection with Acheampong, saying, "He is my son...

his father is Ben Acheampong, former Black Stars number 3." He fondly recalled Acheampong's playing days, noting, "He is short like Sabuto, but you can't beat him in the air." Acheampong's coaching career spanned several teams, including Asante Kotoko, Dunkwa United, and Fabulous Ladies FC.
