Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has refuted claims suggesting that the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, earns GH₵15,000 monthly.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Ayariga dismissed the assertion, stating that Ablakwa had never made such a claim and that all MPs were aware of their actual earnings. "Mr Speaker, first and foremost, Honourable Okudzeto Ablakwa never said anywhere, at any time, that he earns GH₵15,000 a month.
He never said that, he never said that.
Mr Speaker, all of us in this chamber know how much we earn, and we know we don't earn GH₵15,000.
