Former Hearts of Oak board member, Alhaji Amadu Brimah 'Akanbi', believes limiting the number of venues for Ghana Premier League matches could help curb hooliganism.
His comments follow the violent incident at the Nana Koromansah Park, which resulted in the death of Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong.
The tragic event occurred during a Week 19 match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko, raising concerns about safety and security at league centers.
Akanbi attributed delays in implementing the league's autonomy to clubs failing to pay the required fees.
