DCOP Lydia Donkor, Chairperson of the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) Security Committee, has visited the Nana Koronmansah Park in Nsoatre as part of investigations into the violence that erupted during the Ghana Premier League clash between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
She was accompanied by key officials, including Security Committee member Felix Bewu, ACP Dela Djansi, Sunyani Divisional Commander, and Superintendent Francis Numado, Sunyani District Commander.
The joint Police and GFA Security delegation conducted a thorough assessment of the stadium to gather more information on the tragic events that led to the death of Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong, also known as Pooley.
In response to the violence, the GFA has indefinitely banned Nsoatreman FC's home ground and charged the club over its role in the incident.
