Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has reinstated four Members of Parliament (MPs) who were suspended following a heated altercation during the ministerial vetting session on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

The affected MPs-Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, Alhassan Tampuli, and Jerry Ahmed Shaib-were suspended after tensions between the Majority and Minority caucuses escalated into chaos.

The decision sparked protests from the Minority, who staged a walkout on Friday, January 31, leaving only the Majority to continue the vetting process.

One of the key nominees vetted in their absence was Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who had already undergone extensive questioning by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin before the suspension incident.
