Minority Members of Parliament on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, dressed in red and black to protest Speaker Alban Bagbin's decision to suspend four MPs following the chaos that erupted during a ministerial vetting on Thursday, January 30.
The four MPs-Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, Alhassan Tampuli, and Jerry Ahmed Shaib-were suspended on Friday, January 31, 2025, after their involvement in the disturbances.
As Parliament resumed for its fourth-week sitting, Minority MPs were seen clad in red and black, singing patriotic songs and party anthems to express their displeasure over the suspension.
During a press briefing on Monday, February 3, 2025, the Minority caucus strongly opposed the Speaker's decision, arguing that their colleagues had not been given a fair hearing before the suspension.
