Asante Kotoko have announced an indefinite suspension of all football activities following the tragic death of their staunch supporter, Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley, who was stabbed during their league match against Nsoatreman at the Nana Koromansah II Stadium in Nsuatre.

This follows a meeting between the club's management and the Ghana Police Service led by Inspector General George Akuffo Dampare on Tuesday morning.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered a 1-0 defeat, ending their seven-game unbeaten run, but the result has been overshadowed by the violent incident that claimed Pooley's life.

The club has demanded justice and insists it will not participate in any football-related activities until those responsible are held accountable.
