The Special Committee constituted by Speaker Bagbin to investigate the chaos which erupted during the ministerial vetting has said their work is not to go against any member of Parliament.
Addressing the media on Monday, February 3, 2025, Chairman of the Committee noted that they've only been tasked to investigate the unfortunate incident and identify any MP responsible for the incident.
The Committee said it will commence its work today, Monday, February 3, 2025 by analysing some footages of the incident. "We are not here to witch-hunt any of our colleague members of Parliament.
This work is to look for evidence of any member of Parliament who may have flouted the rules of engagement in this House. "Hence, we are appealing to all and sundry to volunteer information that will help bring a lasting peace and collaborative spirit into the work of the Appointments Committee but ultimately to the entire House of Parliament," he stated.
