Foreign Affairs Ministry nominee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has appealed to the United States (US) government to reconsider its withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord.

He described the decision as a setback to global efforts in combating Climate Change. "Let me register our unhappiness at the latest withdrawal by the United States of America from the Paris Climate Accord.

That was a very key intervention in the climate change agenda," he stated.

Speaking during his vetting by the Appointments Committee on Friday, January 31, Mr Ablakwa highlighted Ghana's active role in climate negotiations.
