Violence broke out during Asante Kotoko's 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC this afternoon, resulting in the tragic death of a fan and multiple injuries.
The club confirmed in an official statement that the supporter sustained fatal injuries during the clashes and later passed away at Sunyani Hospital.
The match was already heated, with tensions on the pitch leading to confrontations between players and four red cards being issued.
However, the situation escalated further after the final whistle, as rival fans engaged in violent clashes.
