Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has instructed the Committee of Selection in Parliament to reconstitute the Appointments Committee.
This comes after chaos and disruption by minority and majority members during the vetting session on Thursday, January 30. "This move is aimed at restoring trust and ensuring that the Committee operates effectively and without bias," Bagbin said.
Bagbin has also constituted a seven-member committee chaired by Emmanuel Bedzrah to probe the incident and present its report within 10 days.
He has further suspended some four MPs involved in the chaos.
