Ghana's president, John Dramani Mahama, has advocated that Africa must move beyond producers of raw materials to producers of finished goods.

He is of the view that Africa has immense resources and will be right for the continent to add value to the resources.

We must move beyond being exporters of raw materials to producers of finished goods.

Whether it is cocoa from Ghana, oil in Nigeria, copper in Zambia, or diamonds in Botswana, we must process and add value to our natural resources.
