The Minority Caucus in Parliament has rejected the suspension of three of its members by Speaker Alban Bagbin.

The suspension, which followed chaotic scenes during the vetting session on January 30th, has been described by the Minority as an overreach of parliamentary authority and an attack on democracy.

The suspended members, including key figures from both the Majority and Minority sides, were involved in violent clashes during the Appointments Committee sitting.

They included Majority and Minority Chief Whips, Frank Annoh-Dompreh and Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, along with Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli and Jerry Ahmed Shaib.
