Ghana's Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has assured that under his leadership, sports facilities across the country will be properly maintained to prevent bans from international bodies.
His comments come in the wake of Ghana's suspension from using the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers due to its unfit condition.
The ban forced the government to take emergency steps to make the Accra Sports Stadium available for the qualifiers.
However, the Black Stars failed to secure a single victory and missed out on the tournament.
