Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has refuted claims that he lacks familiarity with Ghana's sports sector, stating that his nomination has been well received by many.

Speaking during his vetting on Thursday, January 30, Adams assured Ghanaians that he would not disappoint in his new role. "It is the case that some say so, but the majority are also very happy that I have been nominated.

I will not disappoint Ghanaians, and I will not disappoint His Excellency the President," he said.

Adams, who is also the Member of Parliament for Buem, was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to head the newly structured Ministry of Sports and Recreation.
