The Minister-Designate for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has dismissed reports claiming that over 6,200 Ghanaians are set to be deported from the United States as part of a mass deportation exercise under President Donald Trump.

His remarks come amid growing concerns over the scale of the deportations.

Speaking during his vetting before the Appointments Committee of Parliament, Ablakwa clarified that official communication from U.S.

authorities indicates a significantly lower number of affected individuals.
