Real Valladolid manager Diego Cocca has disclosed that Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo is ready to fight for a place in his team ahead of the trip to Villareal.  The Black Stars centre-back joined the La Liga strugglers on Thursday, January 30, on loan for the rest of the season from Celta Vigo.

Aidoo struggled for regular game time at Celta but arrives with enormous experienced, which Valladolid need to fight for survival. "Aidoo did it in fits and starts, playing more in the Cup at Celta Vigo.

We will see how they are and then we will make decisions," he said when asked of his winter arrivals could start against Villareal. "I had the chance to speak with him a few days ago and he comes to compete, already convinced that he can do it," he added.  "We will try to make those who come do so with that mentality." Real Valladolid are five points adrift of safety and Cocca believes they have made the right moves in the window. "I focus on the day to day, and more on this project.

We want to have a good winter market, but it is difficult.
