President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Dr Johnson Asiamah to serve as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), pending approval by the Council of State.
This announcement was made following a formal request by the current Governor, Dr Ernest Addison, to proceed on leave prior to his retirement, scheduled for March 31, 2025.
Dr Asiamah brings a wealth of experience to the role.
He previously served as the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2016 to 2017.
