Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) member Gifty Klenam has shared her views on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its unique approach to youth leadership and empowerment.

Klenam, who has recently defected to the NDC, spoke about how the party is laying the groundwork for future leaders by offering younger members opportunities to rise through its ranks. "Those who are ministers today in the NDC are my mates from Parliament," Klenam remarked in an interview on Joy News monitored by MyNewsGH. "They give opportunities for their junior ones to follow, creating a leadership pipeline for the future." She emphasized that the NDC's leadership structure is designed to allow for the next generation to step up and carry the torch forward.

The former MP expressed admiration for how the NDC is actively preparing future leaders, not only for the current political landscape but for long-term governance. "The NDC is going to be a party that will govern Ghana for a very long time," she stated confidently.

This outlook aligns with her belief that the NDC, with its solid human resource foundation, will offer a more robust platform for youth leadership compared to other political parties.
